BERINGER VINEYARDS Cabernet Sauvignon 'Knights Valley' 2013

Located 17 miles northwest of the winery, Knights Valley is known for having higher fluctuation in temperature than Napa Valley. This wine starts with aromatics reminiscent of red bell pepper, anise, pipe tobacco and suggestions of white pepper. The wine has flavors of creme de cassis, anise, and blackberry preserves that sit alongside moderate tannins. Lovely length to this expressive bottling. Try to give this another year for the tannins to settle and for the fruit to fully integrate. I could see this cellaring very well. (Best 2017-2030) - May, 2016 (OB)
