The Louise Vineyard was first planted in 1993 and was named for Cristom Vineyards winegrower and owner Tom Gerrie's great-grandmother, Louise Dinkelspiel. The 2015 Pinot Noir displays a translucent color and begins with aromatics reminiscent of roasted dates, red cherry preserves and wild mushroom with a citrus edge. Balanced and distinctly feminine, the wine shows red raspberry, cranberry-pomegranate and orange rind flavors that sit alongside brisk minerality.
