An exceedingly delicious and lithe effort, the 2014 Argyle 'Cowhouse' Pinot Noir comes from the Holstein Vineyard. This exceptional Pinot Noir wine begins with dense aromatics of white pepper, red cherry, red raspberry, as well as allspice. The palate is plush, having a silky mouthfeel and yielding flavors of red cherries, raspberry, teaberry, black truffle and hints of wild blackberry that sits alongside beautiful acidity. Dense, chewy and delicious, this is outstanding for its poise and alluring red and black fruit flavors. I can see this cellaring marvelously into the next decade.
