The 2014 Adelsheim Pinot Gris is another great release from this estate. In 2014 harvest was extremely early at Adelsheim, with the first grapes coming in on September 9th. Roughly 18% of the wine was aged in neutral French oak. The Pinot Gris starts with aromatics of cantaloupe, unripe pear and green papaya. This leads to flavors reminiscent of Granny Smith apple, cut grass, green papaya, green olive and hints of roasted hazelnuts. Lovely range of flavors here to this bright and mineral driven Gris (Best 2016-2021) - April, 2016 (OB)
