MORGEN LONG Chardonnay, Eola-Amity Hills ‘Seven Springs’ 2019

The Seven Springs 2019 Chardonnay from Morgen Long was my absolute favorite and one of the best Chardonnays from the Willamette Valley of the 2019 vintage. Sporting a medium lemon core with a silvery rim, the nose is lively and vivacious with notes of fresh yellow apple, cinnamon-coated pear, Chinese sweet and sour spice, white pepper, and a touch of flinty matchstick - all well defined and present. A harmonious palate gifts additional flavors of yellow flower blossom and crushed wet stone, ending with a saline and orchard fruit finish that goes on for literally minutes. If you want to experience what Oregon can do, then find a bottle of this wine from Seth Long and be richly rewarded. Just 90 cases produced. Highly recommended.
