Pinot Noir in Oregon from the 2018 vintage produced wines with a lot of structure and depth, but retained high acidity and silky tannins, and this wine is no exception. Aged for 12 months in about 40% new French oak, the nose is more black fruit dominant than red fruit and shows characteristics of wild blackberry, black cherry and star anise. The palate is dominated by flavors of marionberry, shaved chocolate, a touch of tangerine oil and some oak spices.
