The 2018 ‘Richard Hermann Cuvée’ Chardonnay is absolutely stunning. It immediately impresses with its seductive aromas of flint and smoke which lead the way to ripe asian pear, white nectarine, lemon oil, wet stones, hazelnut, white blossoms and touch of honey that all come together beautifully. On the palate this is just as impressive, showing remarkable balance and precision, along with a gorgeous layered texture and mouthfeel. It goes on to display striking purity and freshness through the long mineral driven finish. This is an absolute knockout, and while it is already showing beautiful, it should also go on to drink brilliantly for years to come. The wine was aged 12 months in 100% new Chassin French oak 500L barrel, 6 months in stainless steel on the fine lees.
