The 2016 'Cuvée Constantin’ saw 23% new French oak for twelve months prior to bottling. The wine opens with an inviting bouquet of red currants with blood orange and peat moss aromatics that all combine nicely in the glass. The palate delivers downright delicious red fruit and citrus rind flavors that combine with the bright sense of minerality. This is seriously appealing now, but will have another decade or more in the cellar.
