Barrel aged for 10 months in 18% new French oak barrels, this striking Chardonnay is a wine dedicated to the winemakers' two daughters blending together Wente 72 and Dijon 95 clones. A nose of ripe golden apple, fresh pineapple, roasted hazelnuts, yellow flower blossoms and a pinch of cinnamon burst out of the glass. Tropical notes of grilled pineapple, fresh mango dominate with secondary characteristics of candied lemon peel, fresh sage and ground clove complete the full and luscious finish. The finish also gives a nice saline and mineral quality that balances out the rich fruit notes. 140 cases produced.
