The Chehalem Mountains Pinot Noir from de Lancellotti is aged for 10 months in French oak barrels, with 10% being new. This wine sees 30% whole cluster fermentation which gives it a nice structure to the backbone. The nose shows aromas of fresh black cherry, black raspberry, violet petals, fresh mint leaves, and evergreen tree sap. The palate bursts with flavors of under ripe cherry, wild strawberry then evolves into savory browned butter radicchio, ground allspice and tomato leaf. This is a fun and interesting Pinot Noir to try. 280 cases produced.
