The 2014 Left Coast Cellars 'Truffle Hill' Pinot Noir is a very strong showing from this estate. Prior to bottling in June 2016 the wine was aged in 80% new French oak for 20 months. This wine has a lovely combination of black and red fruit aromatics with red cherry, black raspberry, wild blackberry along with cigar box and suggestions of wild mushroom. The palate shows lively acidity with flavors of cranberry, teaberry, mulberry, red cherry, and orange rind accents. Light on its feet and energetic, be sure to give this wine some air contact before enjoying. (Best 2017-2028) - February, 2017 (OB)
