The 2016 'Elizabeth' Chardonnay is an outstandng bottling by the talented hands of winemaker Josh McDaniels. Showing off a deep and golden hue, this wine opens with aromatics of sourdough bread, lemon, browned butter and suggestions of Pink Lady apple. Bright, intense and downright delicious, the silky texture coats the mid-palate with flavors of Pazzaz apple, lemon zest, nutmeg and vanilla cream, which lead up to the near minute long finish. This is an absolutely outstanding effort that rivals some of the best Chardonnay in the state. (Best 2017-2027) - September, 2017 (OB)
