The 2021 Camaspelo by Cayuse is a blend of mostly Cabernet Sauvignon that saw 30% new French oak for 18 months. It’s a rich, decadent effort from the team at Cayuse and sports a lovely nose of black raspberries, black plums, boysenberries, and whiffs of dried flowers and pencil shavings. It’s a baby and needs some time in the bottle to come together with its grippy tannins. A lovely wine that will age well for another 15-20 years. 368 cases made. Better in 2025.
