This dark ruby, full-bodied and structured wine is a Cabernet-based blend of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Syrah, 4% Merlot and 4% Malbec that is sourced from the Klipsun Vineyard in Red Mountain. A stunning wine on the nose that is incredibly complex - think of notes of blackberry liquor, wet red rose petals, ground baking chocolate and tilled earth. The palate is less fruit forward but still incredibly bright with flavors of mocha, clove, organic soil, brown mushroom powder, blackberry, dark plums and cassis. Resting in 100% new French oak barrels for 20 months, the wine is still integrating some of the oak tannins into the core structure of the wine. Give this a few years in the cellar and you will be richly rewarded.
