This outstanding Syrah is sourced from the Powerline Vineyard in the Walla Walla Valley. The 2015 includes 3% of Viognier co-fermented and begins with aromas of fresh red currants, umami, blood orange and a touch of wet stone. The palate is lithe and medium-bodied, as the wine shows a beautiful astringency and balance, laced with delicate red fruits and a touch of blood orange which carry through the finish. While this Syrah already shows wonderful early appeal, I expect it will develop beautifully in bottle over the course of the next decade.
