One of the most exceptional bottlings in this compelling range from Hall is the 2013 'Kathryn Hall' Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2013 Cabernet spent 24 months in 70% new French oak prior to bottling and includes 4% Merlot and 1% Petite Verdot. This ultra-deep wine opens with intense aromatics of crème de cassis and black cherry liqueur woven together with coffee grounds, sage, pipe tobacco and anise. There are concentrated flavors of black cherries, blackberry preserves, Turkish coffee, sagebrush, crème de cassis and dark chocolate shaving all resonating on the voluptous palate. The silky, bordering ethereal texture yields a seamless quality to the mid-palate lebefore the minute long finish accentuates this incredible wine. This seductive beauty will cellar gracefully for decades to come. A magnificent job by head winemaker Steve Leveque and his winemaking team in crafting this exceptional Cabernet.
