The 2016 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon from Rombauer displays an inky color and opens with a ripe bouquet of cassis, tar, mocha and sandalwood. The palate reveals a nice combination of freshness and intensity as flavors of black tea, Asian spices, mocha and crème de cassis all mingle brilliantly together. Showing a notable mineral streak, this excellent effort should cellar well over the next decade or more.
