AU BON CLIMAT Pinot Noir, Bien Nacido Vineyard 2013

Winemaker Jim Clendenen was one of the first to source fruit from the legendary Bien Nacido Vineyard in the Santa Maria Valley. Most of the fruit used from Bien Nacido is from vines planted for Au Bon Climat. The 2013 has a beautiful aromatics with nuances of dark cherry, crushed stones, strawberry, currant, violet and dried spice, which jump form the glass. On the palate there is layers of red fruits and it is beautifully balanced with a vibrant core of acidity and soft tannins making for a lovely mouth feel. This is fantastic today and will evolve gracefully over the next decade. (Best 2017-2027) - June 2017 (MD)
