This outstanding Chardonnay from Lutum comes from the heralded Bien Nacido Vineyard in the Santa Maria Valley. The fruit comes from blocks N and Q, which are located in the middle of the Santa Maria Bench. It is very bright with focused aromas of ripe cherries, pomegranate, interlaced with hints of pepper, herb and black tea. The medium-body shows wonderful elegance while offering red fruits, violets and earthy tones. This is approachable now with some air and can be enjoyed over the next decade.
