The 2021 Bien Nacido Estate Pinot Noir comes from vines planted in 1973, 1996, and 2006 and displays a glimmering neon ruby core with a light purple rim. It’s aged for 16 months in 45% new French oak and is bottled unfined and unfiltered. Bursting with aromas of potpourri, dried flowers, black tea, and high-mountain sage to start while ending with shades of black cherry, orange zest, and blue plum flesh. Impeccably balanced between the perfect levels of lemony acidity and the sweet, crunchy tannins, it finishes strong and long and should age very well for the next 8-10 years. Highly recommended.
