A medium to dark ruby-garnet core with a lighter purple rim that is aged for 16 months in 50% new French oak barrels. A stunning Pinot Noir that comes from vines planted in 2006, this is a polished, refined wine with structure and power alongside finesse and elegance. Boysenberry, blue plum skin, new leather, crushed autumn leaves, and shades of exotic spice aromas pop from the glass. Full-bodied with sweet tannins, perfect acidity levels, and an earthy, spice-driven finish that goes on for minutes help complete the wine. It’s a near-perfect example of a Bien Nacido Pinot Noir that I highly recommend. Editor’s choice.
