The gorgeous XO Syrah from Bien Nacido Estate is aged for 16 months in approximately 45% new French oak and sports a deep purple core with a light blue rim. Wonderfully earthy on the nose - think notes of new leather, toasted spices, pink peppercorn, bacon fat, and brine. The palate showcases notes of black fruits and black-peppered charcuteries. Tannins are rounded and balanced alongside the lofty acidity. Highly recommended.
