Fruit coming from the renowned Bien Nacido Vineyard, which some consider one of the only Grand Cru vineyards in California, this lovely Pinot Noir is aged for 11 months in 35% new French oak barrels. Its medium ruby color, with a brickish rim, is followed by a delicious and spicy wine with plenty of tart ripe red cherry and mulberry fruits, followed by aspects of ground spice, black tea, wet autumn leaves, and some dried mint. My personal favorite of the Optik 2020 releases. 482 cases produced.
