Complex and captivating aromas of fresh boysenberry, red currant, blue plum, wassail spice, dusty herbs and forest floor are prominently displayed on this ever changing nose. The palate adds flavors of bright bing cherry, blueberry, toasted cinnamon stick, iodine and a wet leaf characteristic. Medium bodied, medium-plus acidity, silky tannins and gorgeous fruit frame this stellar Pinot Noir. This one should cellar for another decade but don’t wait to enjoy it now, it’s a gorgeous wine from one of the best estates in the Santa Maria Valley. Highly recommended.
