FOXEN Pinot Noir, Santa Rita Hills, John Sebastian Vineyard 2018

With new oak elevage just shy of 40%, and aging for 16 months, this 10% whole-cluster fermented wine packs a punch. It’s rich and powerful on the nose with roasted black cherry, baking chocolate, toasted allspice and smokey earth notes. The palate delivers ample acidity, with additional flavors of marionberry, anise and leather. Well balanced on the palate, with beautiful structure and power. Make sure to give it some air as it develops and becomes even more beautiful over an hour in the glass. Only 624 cases produced.
