Hildegard is Jim Clendenen's take on Corton-Charlemagne, a blend Pinot Gris/Pinot Blanc/Aligoté that spends 2 years on New French oak. It has sexy aromas of buttered almonds, baked apple, white flowers, green mango, toasted oak and exotic spice. On the palate this is beautifully textured, with a rich, mouth coating oily texture, but beautifully balanced with lovely acidity cutting through the finish. Drink this beauty now or cellar it and watch it evolve over the next few years.
