Checking in with 54% Merlot, 33% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 13% Cabernet Franc, the 2020 Envoy rested in 27% new French oak for a total of 22 months. Dark red hued with a neon purple rim, it boasts notes of red plum, black cherry, cedary herbs, and, interestingly enough, just a smooch of my mom’s homemade peanut brittle. It’s ready to drink now with its sweet tannins and herb-driven finish. 375 cases made.
