CORLISS Red Wine, Red Mountain ‘Estate’ 2018

Wow! The 2018 Corliss is all Red Mountain fruit that is equal parts of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc and sports a deep and brooding purple core with a neon blue rim. One of the more beautiful wines I’ve seen in the glass for quite some time. Crushed blackberries, sweet tobacco leaves, new leather, dried potpourri, green peppercorn, allspice, and earthy notes abound. Full-bodied and rich on the palate, the tannins are perfectly integrated into the structure and backbone of this wonderful red blend that will be better in a few years and then drink beautifully for a decade or more. Just 501 cases produced. Highly recommended.
