A 100% Malbec from the Ambassador Red Mountain Estate is aged for 22 months in 50% new French oak barrels. Displaying dark violet in the glass, it stains the glass beautifully as you swirl. Freshly picked blueberry, violets, espresso powder, spruce and a touch of menthol produce a spectacular nose while the palate is rich in acidity with integrated tannin, and delivers full-bodied richness, a graceful texture and long-lasting finish. Malbecs from Red Mountain are getting better and better every year and this is a fine example of how it should be done. Only 150 cases produced.
