Features a delightful, clean and pure aromatic expression of cassis and ripe blue and black plum out of the gate, followed by heaps of dried violet petals, fresh mint, dark chocolate shavings, and a touch of espresso powder which brings interesting complexity to the nose. The palate is juicy and structured, with medium plus acidity and lovely tannin structure to compliment the fresh blackberry and baking spice dominant palate. Aged for 22 months in 63% new French oak, this is a wonderful example of Red Mountain Cabernet that I highly recommend. Drink now with a long decant or over the next 15 years.
