Taking the best 12 barrels from the 2012 vintage, this blend of 50% Merlot, 33% Cabernet Sauvignon and 17% Cabernet Franc is aged in 100% new French oak for 22 months. Offering complex aromatics of baked black raspberry, red currants, mocha and oak spices mixed with iron ore and wet earth the palate is much the same, but giving medium acidity and chalky tannins on the finish. It’s surprisingly fresh for a 10-year old wine. 144 cases produced.
