The Taptiel vineyard from Red Mountain is producing fantastic fruit and this Cabernet dominant, Cabernet Franc and Merlot blend is a byproduct of that success. It sees 18 months in 40% new French oak and displays those classic Red Mountain characteristics on the nose and on the palate. Ripe boysenberry, tobacco leaf, cassis, pencil shavings and mocha meld together with high acidity and chewy tannins to create a wine that is beautifully balanced, has an amazing mouthfeel and a lengthy finish. Keep for a few years before enjoying and then cellar for up to 15 years or more.
