Aromatic forest floor, potpourri, caramelized pie crust, and green olive tapenade unfold around classic cassis and wild blackberry on the nose. A cherry liquor and bramble character joins velvety and pronounced tannins, savory minerality and sweet baking spices to create an unbelievably elegant and yummy Cabernet from Canvasback. It’s everything I love about great Washington Cabs - high acidity, high tannins, polished and present fruit and just the right amount of oak treatment to round everything out. This is a wine built to age, but will drink very well now with a long decant. Buy a case and drink one bottle each year over the next decade. Highly recommended.
