A stunner of a wine that is just as beautiful in the glass as it is on the nose and palate. This beautiful GSM blend of 42% Grenache, 38% Mourvèdre, 20% Syrah from the Weathereye Vineyard in Red Mountain explodes with fragrances of fresh red cherries, black raspberries, chopped mint, dried hay and wet earth. The nose has so much complexity, showing earthiness without becoming overpowering. The experience continues as the wine hits the back of your tongue, with flavors of wild thimbleberries, chocolate covered orange peel and a hint of black-peppered salami coming from its decadent Syrah component. The palate is very multi-layered with loads of tension and robustness. Needs a few years in the bottle to settle down and will cellar for 20+ years. Highly recommended.
