The 2014 'Stanley Groovy' is another outstanding wine by Ali Mayfield. This intriguing blend of Toriga Nacional, Souzao, Tinta Roriz and Tinta Cao possesses rich aromatics of blueberry pie, black cherry cordial, black olive, crushed mint and sweet pipe tobacco. There is some considerable weight and polish on the mid-palate, as this wine yields intense flavors of tobacco leaf, red cherry, mocha, red cherry compote and dried sage.
