The 2019 Anna Pinot Noir from Furioso is a seven-barrel cuvée named in honor of the owner’s mother, Anna. It’s aged in 40% new French oak for one year and boasts notes of potpourri, boysenberry, crushed pomegranate seeds, wet autumn leaves, cedary herbs, and dusty road. Smooth tannins flow across the tongue alongside elegant acidity. It finishes with an earthy undertone that doesn’t overpower the lovely blue-fruit aspect on the mid-palate. A small production of 175 cases was crafted. Highly recommended.
