The 2019 Chardonnay from Gran Moraine is a concentrated and delicious effort that gifts a light lemon core with a watery rim in the glass. Aged for 19 months in 15% new French oak, it sports lovely aromas of lemon oil, white wildflowers, crushed white peppercorn, and stony minerality flow from the glass. The palate is balanced with fruity tones of white peach, honeydew melon, orange blossom, and shades of baked brioche. I love the earthy aspect I get on the back palate on the finish. 1030 cases were made.
