Coming from the MonksGate vineyard in the Yamhill Carlton AVA, this blend of 777, 115 and Pommard clones sees about 25% new French Oak for 16 months before bottling. The wine sees 80% whole cluster fermentation, which gives this wine some needed structure and tannin. The nose dances with bright red fruits, dried rose petals, fresh thyme and spruce while the pallet hits you with red currant, cranberry, dried red flowers and some baking spices.
