Sourced from 100% Pommard clone fruit, from a single block on the estate, the 2019 displays a beautiful medium garnet core with a purple rim. I love the rich nose on the wine - think notes of freshly picked marionberry, black raspberry, toasted sweet baking spice, violet wildflower, and tangerine zest. The palate is much the same, showcasing additional flavors of anise and forest mushroom alongside zippy acidity, rounded but present tannins, and a full-bodied finish that goes on for minutes.
