The wine opens with a touch of forest floor funk that quickly dissolves into bursting aromas of fresh black cherry, huckleberry, melted dark chocolate, ground toasted clove with just a hint of tobacco leaf. Black fruits dominate the palate along layering upon the medium high acidity and present tannins which are integrated nicely. I would drink this now, or over the next decade.
