DUTTON-GOLDFIELD Pinot Noir, McDougall Ranch 2014

This vineyard is located high above the Gualala River and the Pacific Coast, at the north end of the Sonoma Coast, just north of Hirsch and Flowers vineyards. The wine itself begins with aromas of black cherries, black tea, and pipe tobacco. The salinity lovely as are the bright red fruits and orange rind components. Spicy and sexy, with notable acidity and minerality, this will cellar well for a decade or more. (Best 2017-2027) - September, 2017 (OB)
