BANSHEE Pinot Noir, Rice-Spivak Vineyard 2013

Rice-Spivak is a 6-acre site located about 10-miles from the Pacific. It is comprised of both Dijon and Swan clones, planted to Goldridge, loamy soil with an unusual amount of volcanic ash. The wine itself is absolutely gorgeous, offering aromas of red cherries and red raspberry followed by a mix of violets and clove spices. This leads to flavors of cherry pie, pomegranate and hints of vanilla resonating across the palate. The 2013 Rice-Spivak Pinot is another impressive and terroir driven bottling by Banshee. Aged 20 months in French oak (25% new) prior to bottling. (Best 2016-2026) - March, 2016 (OB)
