My first tasting of any Hartford Court wine, and this one is incredibly scrumptious. The grapes come from a couple of vineyards just right off the coast of the Pacific Ocean in Sonoma which cools the area down and produces fruit with incredible acidity and balance. New world in style and producing aromas of fresh cranberry sauce, candied raspberry, toasted anise, and lovely red flowers, it’s a joy to experience in the glass. The palate is much the same as the nose but also delivers some leather notes and a delicious saline, mineral component. Racy acidity and medium tannins complete the wine. Enjoy for the next decade or more.
