I have always adored the Bésoleil wines from Betz with their blend of 60% Grenache, 20% Mourvèdre, 16% Counoise, and 4% Petite Syrah. Displaying a rich medium ruby-purple core with a neon pink rim in the glass, the nose pops with aromas of crushed dark cherries, mountain blueberries, olive brine, pink peppercorn, wet earth notes shades of black licorice essence. The palate finishes with a toasted anise and dark cherry finish on the back palate. Tannins are silky smooth, and the acidity is perfectly balanced. Highly recommended.
