A spectacular Cabernet Sauvignon from Red Willow in Yakima Valley, this dense, juicy wine is aged 20 months in 80% new French oak and bottled unfined and unfiltered. The nose changed constantly during the 30 minutes and it was a treat to experience it evolve in the glass. Think notes of marionberry, chopped parsley and sage, red flowers, leather saddle and a distinctive earthy quality. The palate is just as complex as the nose with a very savory melange of black currants, blackberries, casis, dried Thanksgiving spices and beautiful grippy tannins that bite through the bright acidity. This Cabernet will need some time to really shine so be patient. 119 cases produced.
