The 2016 Sauvignon Blanc from Ojai is simply spectacular. Adam Tolmach has worked with the same rows in the McGinley vineyard since 1998. This beautiful white is aged in neutral French oak, with seven months spent on the lees. It begins with a vibrant aromas of lime, green melon, lychee, green grass, crushed stone with a touch of saline and spring flowers. This possesses gorgeous depth and complexity on the palate and is tightly wound backed by a core of delicious flavors tropical fruits, stone fruit and green apple. One of the finest examples of the varietal I have come across from the region, and an absolute steal at this price point.
