99% Merlot and 1% Cabernet Sauvignon make up the 2020 Abeja Merlot. It rests for 22 months in 33% new French oak barrels and boasts a lovely medium purple and garnet core with a purple rim. Spicy and earthy on the nose and more black fruit forward on the palate, this Merlot delivers notes of black plum, candied black cherry, sea breeze, dried mountain herbs, scorched vanilla, and mocha. Crunchy tannins and mouthwatering acidity complete the wine. 820 cases made.
