The 2015 'El Jefe' Tempranillo is sourced from the esteemed Stoneridge Vineyard in the Columbia Valley and was aged in 50% new French oak for 21 months prior to bottling. Translucent in the glass, this starts off with aromas of smoked meat, blood orange rind and red cherry candy which all entice. Medium-plus to full-bodied, and showing notable tension as it delivers flavors of pure red fruits along with a smoked meat character which persists through the finish.
