Perfection in the glass, the 2021 Farrow Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon rested in 80% new French oak for 22 months and sports a glistening deep purple core with a lighter purple rim. On the nose, you can sense the terroir on which the grapes are grown. Wet orange-colored earth, wet clay, crushed huckleberries, freshly picked boysenberries, eucalyptus, and interesting meaty notes that come after some time in the glass. It’s hard to write a review of this wine because it constantly changes over time. It’s full-bodied, structured, impeccably balanced, and extremely well-made. Bravo! Give this another 2-3 years in the bottle before enjoying to be richly rewarded. Almost 400 cases made. Highly recommended and editor’s choice.
