The 2020 Wendling Pinot Noir from Littorai is more dense, rich, and compact than its siblings. Notes of macerated black raspberry, crushed black cherry, milk chocolate, dried hay, and toasted cedary herbs combine into a masterpiece of wine-making. Gorgeous to look at, with its shimmering medium ruby core and a light pink rim, it’s still incredibly young and needs some time to develop. Chalky tannins, racy acidity, and a red fruit and herbal finish complete the wine. Better in 2024. Highly recommended. Dried hay, red cherry, macerated raspberries, milk chocolate, cedary herbs.
